Early Intervention

We focus on movement based intervention adopted from. It is part of the Educational Kinesiology programme. Educational Kinesiology means “To draw out learning using movement”. It is an advanced and highly effective movement based programme that improves neural communication throughout the mind and body to help you access and achieve your highest potential in learning and any life skills.

We believe in ‘Play Based’ intervention. “A wonderful cycle of learning is driven by the pleasures of play. A child is curious; she explores and discovers. The discovery brings pleasure; the pleasure leads to repetition and practice. Practice brings mastery; mastery brings the pleasure and confidence to once again act on curiosity. All learning – emotional, social, motor and cognitive—is accelerated and facilitated by repetition fueled by the pleasure of play.” – Copple and Bredekamp, 2009.

Day Care

The aim of the day care is to provide a safe and comfortable learn and play environment for individuals with special needs where we will capitalise on their abilities and form positive relationships through individualized strength-based and passion-based learning, and equip them with the tools they need to develop friendships, navigate their communities, and maximize their potential. They will gain transferable skills in order to sustain an independent life and become active members of the workforce and society.

Day Care

The aim of this program is to provide a safe, affordable yet quality day care for individuals with special needs. It may also be a form of respite for caregivers during the day.

Our day care includes before and after school care for school going students; children with special needs and typical children, aged 7 to 14 years old. Our services include educational support, social and life skills for independent living.

For adults with low to moderate needs aged 16 and above, we provide care and skills training and we equip them with daily living skills and community living skills in order for them to maximise their independence. The activities also aim to meaningfully occupy them with social and recreational activities. Therapeutic and behavioural intervention services are also provided.

Training & Consultancy

T&C aims to enhance the quality of life of individuals with special needs and their families as well as to create an awareness among the professionals, within various organisations and the public by offering high quality and effective community-based workshops, sharing of relevant information and through interdisciplinary training.

Train & Place

Trained and ‘work ready’ graduates from the ‘Work Readiness Adult Program’ (WRAP) will continue to be assessed, guided and eventually placed with potential employer partners who have been enriched and trained in managing employees with special needs. To ensure the graduates’ smooth transition and that they received adequate support, periodic intervention and assessment will be conducted with the collaboration of our employer partners.

Playgroup

Our Playgroup is a movement+play-based integrated intervention program that focuses on building the prerequisite skills a child needs to succeed before joining the preparatory programme in order to be primary/SPED school ready.
